Often times dental work needs to be redone after a while due to changes in your oral health or wear and tear of the dental restorations. After many years of service, this patient's crowns were showing signs of wear. His original crowns were done to mask the discolorations of his front teeth. His gums and teeth had shifted over the years and it was time for replacement. Dr. Kim and the patient decided to crown 6 teeth in the front for the best result. The patient couldn't be happier with his new smile.
When this patient's tooth broke in an accident, he wanted it fixed as soon as possible. Dr. Kim was able to bring him in right away and gave him a temporary crown while a custom crown was fabricated by a local lab. Once he saw the final crown, the patient was so excited to not only get his front tooth back, but also to find that it looked better than it did before the accident.
Dental implants can offer esthetic solutions for missing teeth. This patient came to Dr. Kim when an old crown broke off from her front tooth. She was immediately sent to a local oral surgeon and the tooth fragment was removed and an implant was placed on the same day. She wore a temporary appliance while the bone healed around the implant for a short period. Dr. Kim took a custom shade to give her a perfectly matched implant-supported tooth that looks and feels like her own.
Sometimes worsening gum disease can lead to loss of teeth. While there are several options available to replace missing teeth, including dentures and implants, this patient did not want dentures. Four of her lower front teeth were removed due to severe gum disease. A bridge replacing all four teeth was attached to two implants that would stay secure while she talks and eats. The patient was thrilled that she could eat normally again without worrying about her loose teeth.
This young professional was headed overseas for a job promotion and wanted to replace an old crown to give him a confident smile. A crown had been put on his front tooth at a young age due to trauma but it was noticeably darker. He was also interested in brightening his smile overall. Dr. Kim first performed in-office teeth whitening and replaced the crown with a new one that would blend in with other front teeth better. He was thrilled with the results and now has a winning smile!
